In this role you will manage a small team responsible for the end to end external Supply Chain for Virtuoso, ensuring efficient product ordering and inventory management  and achieving on time supply, and a high degree of stock accuracy and availability, in support of the business’s operational demands. 

   

Main Tasks: 

  • Ensuring an efficient purchase ordering and stores operation capable of fulfilling operational demand
  • Using appropriate IT systems to trigger order placement  and replenishment, ensuring data accuracy and completeness to facilitate accurage Bill of Materials etc
  • Improving departmental performance against targets set, such as supplier OTIF, inventory holding, accuracy, housekeeping, right first-time kit marshalling and using the results to continuously drive improvement
  • Track and report supplier performance, reviewing key metrics and engaging suppliers to improve their performance
  • Working with the wider team on the NPI process to ensure the smooth transition and continuity of supplies and managing out old stock in a timely manner ensuring any transition to new supplier minimises the risk of redundant stock
  • Build and maintain effective supplier relationships, resolving any materials related issues efficiently and effectively
  • Developing and improving processes and procedures to improve efficiency of the purchasing and stores operation 

 

An experienced supply chain professional, you will have relevant experience, ideally in the building products sector. With ERP experience, you will have proven experience of process and KPI improvement. An experienced people manager, you will have a resilient and flexible approach with strong organisation skills and attention to detail. Highly analytical, you should have experience of stock control, perpetual inventory count and stock obsolescence. A CIPS qualification is an advantage.

 

What we offer:

Salary: c £45,000

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7.30am – 4.30pm, Friday 7.30am -1.30pm (38.75hrs), with hybrid working

Location: Gateshead
