Reporting to the Finance Director, we are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Finance Assistant to join our team. As Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and ensuring accuracy in our accounting processes. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about finance and wants to grow their career in the field.

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Recording daily financial transactions using Netsuite accounting software.
  • Accounts payable – processing invoices, reconciling statements and ensuring timely payment to suppliers.
  • Sales reconciliation – investigating variances between accounting software and production software.
  • Daily bank reconciliations.
  • Processing employee expenses in line with company policies.
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Supporting the finance team in preparing and monitoring budgets.
  • Supporting the finance team with financial analysis to aid decision-making.
  • Assisting with audits.

 

To be successful in this role:

  • Previous experience as a finance assistant would be an advantage.
  • Numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of accounting software would be an advantage.
  • Strong IT skills, in particular Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Well organised and self-disciplined, with the ability to multi-task and to assist other members of the finance team
  • The ability to communicate on all levels and establish good working relationships both internally and externally
