We are delighted to announce that we have an exciting opportunity for a Despatch Operative to join our team at Customade.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for working within our despatch department manually loading vehicles, whilst ensuring the right products are delivered in full to our customers
Key Duties
- Picking of Windows, doors, panels, glass and components for loading onto trolleys/lorries
- Co-ordinate finished products and other components parts from the various production areas in the despatch areas, in a logical sequence
- Sort by delivery day(s), by customer, by job numbers on trolleys ready for loading and despatch
- Manually load the products onto vehicles, in the correct delivery, ensuring the goods are securely leashed to the sides of the vehicle and protected against damage in transit
- Ensure that all accessories, samples and literature where necessary are loaded for delivery as required
- Housekeeping, despatch area to be kept clean an presentable
- Reporting any missing items/shortages to the Transport Manager
To be successful in this role:
- Previous warehouse/manual handballing experience is highly advantageous
- Physical stamina to withstand the demands of heavy lifting in a despatch environment
- Good people and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Team player with a flexible approach
What we offer:
Salary: £11.53ph + 18% Shift Allowance = (£28,288pa)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday 4pm – 12pm
Location: Stonehouse
