Polyframe is a leading fabricator of uPVC windows with a busy and expanding production facility based in Lenwade, Norfolk. With strong business performance we are now looking for a Warehouse Manager to join the team.

Scope of the role:


The  Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the storage procedure, from the complicated storage logistics, to keeping an eye on the warehouse workers – scheduling shifts and ensuring staff are adequately trained. The logistics or distribution elements and key task are to organise the safe and efficient storage and distribution of goods, and to ensure that orders are fulfilled (carried out) and delivered on time and correctly to each customer.


Responsible for the Warehousing & despatch/logistics operations of the Polyframe site in Norwich, consistently delivering both short and long term targets safely, on time and within budget to ensure excellent customer service.

Main duties of the role:


  • Good management techniques in warehousing disciplines – Pick/Pack and Despatch operations. Control and despatch of any cross docked group orders in requested timescales
  • Oversee legal compliance, auditing, and management of systems controlling and operating an own fleet Logistics operation, and use data to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Proactive approach to managing a large team in terms of recruitment, communication, training, performance management etc
  • Developing effective internal and external relationships, ensuring timely communication and a customer focused approach.


Key Skills and Experience required:


  • Previous warehouse management experience in a busy and demanding environment
  • Strong people management experience
  • Able to plan and execute and deliver targets with a continual emphasis on improving performance
  • Ideally holds a IOSHH qualification or has significant experience of driving improvement in health and safety within a logistics environment
  • Preferably holds a CPC accreditation
  • Effective problem solving, analytical and organisation skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation and with both internal and external customers
  • Proven track record of effective decision making
  • A ‘can do’, proactive approach, with the ability to motivate others
  • IT literate
  • Flexible in approach to work requirements, shift patterns to meet business needs
