Polyframe is a leading fabricator of uPVC windows with a busy and expanding production facility based in Lenwade, Norfolk. With strong business performance we are now looking for additional Production Operatives to join the team!  

 

Production Operative Role:

Reporting to the Production Shift Manager and working as part of a busy team, you will manufacture uPVC windows and patio door products. After training your role will include;

 

  • Carry out assigned tasks diligently and with close attention to detail
  • Window frame handling, storage and loading using safe manual handling
  • Cutting uPVC profiles using a Stuga saw machine 
  • Reinforcing and welding the window frames 
  • Attaching handles and mechanisms using hand and air tools 
  • Beading and glazing the windows

  

Polyframe Norwich operates with static shifts so you can work on either

 

    • Day Shift – 6am to 2pm – Starting £ 9.01
    • Afternoon Shift – 3pm to 11pm – £ 9.01 plus weekly uplift £ 20 (equivalent £ 9.51 p/h)
    • Night Shift 11pm to 7am – £ 9.01 plus weekly uplift £ 50.00 (equivalent £ 10.25 p/h)

 

*We also offer additional/optional overtime paid at time and a half equivalent to £ 13.52 p/h

 

Skills & Experience:

 

  • Experience gained within an assembly style manufacturing environment is essential
  • Specific experience of window fabrication is highly desirable, but not essential as training will be provided – the key to success is a positive, 'can do' attitude
  • Experience and ability with hand-held power tools is highly advantageous 
  • Manual handling experience of heavy loads is required, as there will be some lifting
  • A proactive approach to tasks, and the ability to work effectively in a busy, target-driven environment
  • The successful candidate will possess a reasonable level of numeracy and literacy as well as good communication skills, with the ability to follow written & verbal instructions
