Virtuoso Doors are the leading composite door and PVCu panel manufacturer supplying trade customers nationwide. Based in brand new premises at Follingsby Park, we are now recruiting for a new role as a IT Support Technician. As the sole IT resource on site this role will assist in the day to day running of a busy manufacturing facility, supporting all IT systems and helpdesk requests. This may also necessitate some level of reporting and analysis of data from key business systems.

Key Duties will include:

  • Perform regular installations and updates for IT hardware and software systems
  • Provide day to day server support
  • Work with Group IT to support manufacturing systems such as Business Micros and Production Scan Stations
  • Maintain and troubleshoot network printers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve computer and other IT equipment
  • Assist in setting up and upgrading computer for end users
  • Identify potential downtime issues
  • Support our Office 365 infrastructure (exchange online, SharePoint online) and all active network equipment and on-premise servers
  • In accordance with our joiners and leavers process ensure that Active Directory accounts are created and disabled in a timely fashion
  • Assist in creating IT documentation, processes and procedures
  • Manage IT assets to ensure that hardware asset lists, network diagrams and software inventories are kept up-to-date and with periodic audits

Required Skills:

  • Working with Windows desktops and laptops
  • Windows Servers
  • Exchange Server and Office 365
  • Share Point
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Installing and supporting application software
  • Maintaining formal IT documentation 
  • IT hardware – phone systems, printers, mobile phones, and active network equipment
  • Methodical working, ability to create and follow instructions 
  • Becoming an excellent problem solver with flexible solutions- understanding and solving issues quickly for hardware, software and network
  • Able to work under pressure in a busy environment whilst remaining focused and positive
  • Production system knowledge would be an advantage

Essential Experience: 

Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar IT support role.
