Job Purpose:

Accountable for business development working for a Gloucester based manufacturer, supplying the fenestration industry. Engaging with fabrication companies, retailers and, installers within the new build and replacement market sectors. Developing sales of aluminium and pvc windows, doors, bifold doors and patio sliders. Working with a market leading group, employing people across various manufacturing, commercial sites and trade counters in the UK and Ireland.

Key Duties:

  • To further develop existing business opportunities and to work closely with the field-based business development managers, internal estimating, and sales order processing teams.
  • Actively respond to incoming enquiries to the business and follow up quotations provided to clients.
  • Work closely with existing and lapsed clients.
  • Manage, maintain, and build upon client relationships.
  • Be alert to new developments and opportunities. 
  • Be naturally curious as to how our products add value and can provide a compelling alternative to other suppliers in the industry.
  • Be a skilled listener. Ask the right questions so you can fully understand the client business and needs.
  • Develop the expertise of a sales consultant and never lose sight of your primary purpose as a sales representative: to sell.
  • Have an attention to detail, good admin skills and be able to take ownership to update the customer relationship management software (CRM). 
  • Be a self-starter who can work alone and/or as part of a team.

Skills and Experience:

  • Need to be self-motivated, courteous and have a good telephone manner. 
  • Experience of making outbound client relationship calls
  • An ability that enables customers to talk through their needs.
  • Able to understand technical requirements and process effectively and accurately.
  • Preference in sales order processing using window & door software packages, but not essential for the right candidate.
  • Accurate in data entry with a high attention to detail.
  • Team Player.
  • Computer Literate.
