A regional window installer has scooped a coveted prize in recognition of the quality of its workmanship and service. Clevedon Window Centre, which is a customer of Gloucestershire-based trade fabricator Customade, has won the “FENSA Installation of the Year 2008” award.

Created by FENSA - the national self certification scheme for replacement windows - the award attracted many high calibre entries from window installers. The judges sifted through an impressive array of entries, looking in particular for adherence to building regulations and thermal performance standards, plus the quality of the installation and customer satisfaction.

Clevedon Window Centre of Yatton, near Bristol, won the prestigious prize for a window, door and porch installation it carried out at a period cottage in Shipham, near Cheddar in Somerset. The project utilised a range of Duraflex frames in Golden Oak, which were fabricated by Customade. The property’s owners, Mr and Mrs Bennett, nominated Clevedon for the award.

Steve Anderson, director at Clevedon Window Centre, said: ‘We are absolutely delighted that our installation has been recognised and celebrated by the people whose opinion matters most to us - FENSA and homeowners. Most of our work comes from personal recommendations and winning this award shows our customers that we really can deliver the things that they have asked for. I can’t wait to share this award with everyone in the office!”

John Adams, sales director at Customade, added: “We are very pleased that one of our customers has won such an accolade. Clevedon has been a customer of ours for many years and they have built up a superb reputation for quality a
