Customade flies ahead with String of Kitemarks

One of the widest and most competitively priced ranges of kitemarked window products in both PVC-u and aluminium is now available from Customade. The Gloucestershire-based fabricator has successfully completed a stringent round of testing for all of its products and has scooped an enviable string of kitemarks. Customade is the first fabricator to achieve kitemark standards on a wide range of domestic aluminium windows and doors, which includes the Smart Alitherm 47 casement window, the SAPA Dualframe 75 casement window and the newly launched Classic-al window - a Customade exclusive. All aluminium windows have been tested to BS 7950 / 4873 (enhanced security and weather testing of aluminium windows) and BS 4873 (weather tightness performance for domestic aluminium windows). The company’s range of PVC-u windows has also been successfully tested to achieve BS 7412 (weather testing) and BS 7950 / 7412 (enhanced security testing). Customade’s range of PVC-u and aluminium standard and domestic entrance doors are all certified to PAS 23 (general performance requirements for door assembles) and PAS 24 (enhanced security performance requirements for door assembles). PAS 23 is a weather performance standard for door sets, which covers wind resistance and weather tightness, whilst PAS 24 is an attack standard for door sets. It certifies that a particular door, frame lock and hardware combination has withstood a series of physical tests based on common methods of burglary using defined sets of tools and a specific attack time. This test is the minimum standard to achieve the Secured by Design standard. The Customade range of doors includes the Duraflex Diamond Suite 65mm profile, single leaf, inward and outward opening residential door, the Sapa Dualframe 55mm and 75mm profile single leaf, inward and outward opening residential doors and Smart Architectural Aluminium Alitherm 47mm profile, single leaf, inward and outward opening residential door. For added peace of mind for the end user, every window and door in the range also carries Secured by Design approval. Andy Thomas, Customade’s sales and marketing director, says: “We are absolutely delighted to have an extensive range of aluminium and PVC-u windows that are kitemarked and SBD approved. The development is a real feather in our cap and brings even greater confidence to the market, particularly in aluminium which has grown rapidly in recent years thanks to significant improvements in its performance and aesthetics. Many installers continue to find the PVC-u market challenging and are looking for alternative opportunities to boost their businesses. The kitemark and SBD assurances for aluminium give them a unique offering and total confidence in the capabilities of window systems that they may previously have overlooked.” For further information on the Customade range of products, please contact Customade’s marketing hotline on 01453 826884 or visit www.customade.co.uk car jersey loan new refinanceno credit check payday loans direct lenders

Customade is set to shake up the industry with the unveiling of an exciting new generation aluminium window. The Classic-al window, which is available exclusively from the Gloucestershire-based fabricator, has been created specifically for the domestic market. It combines the traditional appeal of a timber window with the trusted performance of aluminium. Boasting elegant, slim sightlines and a soft, sculptured profile, the Classic-al window has been designed with reliability and aesthetics firmly in mind. It uses a proven polyamide thermally broken 70mm system, which is based on the popular Smart Alitherm 47 aluminium window, and benefits from the strength and durability of aluminium. Andy Thomas, Customade’s sales and marketing director, says: “We’re very excited to launch the Classic-al window, which is the ultimate choice for people who want a window with no compromises. It is also available in dual colour and a matt, satin or gloss finish as well as the Smart “Sensations” finish, which has a textured, graphite appearance. The window is available in A, B and C energy rated options and is kitemark tested to BS 7950 / 4873 (enhanced security and weather testing of aluminium windows) and BS 4873 (weather tightness performance for domestic aluminium windows).
Customade Finishes The Foil Frustration

Customade has made a strategic investment of £80,000, which for the first time ever, will stamp out installer and fabricator frustrations on the long lead times and unrealistic order values often associated with foiled products. The move by the Gloucestershire-based trade fabricator brings an extensive suite of foiled woodgrain products in white, cream, black and oak on a standard lead time with no minimum order value. John Adams, Customade’s Sales Director, says: “Foiled woodgrain products have seen a huge growth in the last few years because they bring more choice to the industry and a greater sense of style and individuality to the end user. The two classic problems that we hear about time and time again are the long lead times, which can be up to eight weeks, and the high minimum order values. These issues prevent many installers and fabricators, but especially the smaller operators, from ever being able to offer woodgrains as part of their range. It’s a crying shame that these businesses, which are struggling in very tough market conditions, cannot benefit from the extra business that foiled products could bring to them.” Following a period of consultation with customers and in-depth research into the market, Customade decided to make the investment into foiled woodgrain stock at its 50,000 square feet factories in Gloucestershire. It is the first and only package available to installers and fabricators who want to widen their product offering and increase their profit potential, but without the inconvenience of long lead times. Smaller fabricators will also appreciate Customade having no minimum order value, which eliminates the financial burden of having to hold stock themselves. Customade is offering the new woodgrain finishes across the entire Duraflex 65mm Diamond Featured suite. With its soft lines, the Diamond Featured suite re-creates the traditional appeal of timber windows and offers the highest levels of security. Hinges, trickle vents, Astragal bars, panels and internal Georgian bars have been included in the package. They are also available within standard lead times. The collection also introduces Irish Oak - a subtle new woodgrain, which has a softer finish than traditional oak woodgrains. Irish Oak is already proving popular with customers who want paler woodgrains to marry with lighter, more contemporary wood finishes around their homes. For more details about the new range of foiled woodgrain windows and doors, visit the Customade foils microsite at www.customade.co.uk/foils. car jersey loan new refinanceno credit check payday loans direct lenders

Second Print of Customade Retail Brochure - Already!

Gloucestershire-based fabricator Customade has arranged a second reprint of its new retail brochure after 12,000 copies of the first edition sold out in just a few weeks. With a refreshing mix of lifestyle photography and plenty of easy to understand information on the types, styles and finishes of windows, the smart 16 page brochure has been well received by Customade’s trade customers and homeowners alike. John Adams, Customade’s sales director, says: “We’re delighted that the new brochure has been in such demand, particularly in the current climate when installers need to do everything they can to differentiate themselves. The brochure pays special attention to the homeowners’ top requirements - aesthetics, security and energy performance - and gives them plenty of ideas on how windows can make a stylish and practical addition to their home.” “The brochure is part of a complete marketing package for our customers, which also includes our bespoke Custodian sales software system. It helps our customers to really stand out from the competition with a professional presentation that many smaller independent installers struggle to match,” he adds. Designed with the end user in mind, the brochure showcases the breadth of Duraflex products which Customade fabricates; from casement and tilt and turn windows through mock sliding sash and dummy sash windows to French doors, patio doors and conservatories. The brochure also features plenty of added value products, such as traditional looking astragal bars, which have been proven to maximise the profit margin for Customade’s customers. The brochure also features the wide range of white and woodgain finishes available, which includes traditional mahogany, rosewood and oak. The brochure, which can be overprinted to personalise it for a Customade trade customer, also covers the trusted security features of the windows and doors and the range of the glass options and window and door furniture available. car jersey loan new refinanceno credit check payday loans direct lenders

Customade Adds SAPA Dualfold To Portfolio

Leading trade fabricator Customade has expanded its range of aluminium bi-fold doors to include the new SAPA Dualfold sliding folding door system. The move brings more choice to the company’s customer base and aims to satisfy the demand for wide openings and large expanses of glass that seamlessly connect the home and garden. John Adams, Customade’s sales director, says: “We are delighted to offer the SAPA Dualfold door. The bi-fold door has grown in popularity in recent years. It is the only real way to achieve a large glass area that allows maximum light to flood in through an unobstructed opening. It also provides a panoramic view for homeowners, whilst keeping the British weather at bay. Traditional French style doors cannot achieve the width of a bi-fold and sliding patio doors are unable to offer the clear opening that the consumer is now demanding.” “The new door brings greater choice to our customers and is packed with a wealth of features that make it an attractive and practical proposition for the homeowner. The real beauty of this product, however, is its slim sightlines and Eurogroove multi-point locking system, which makes this one of the best looking and secure doors in its class,” he adds. With slim sightlines, the SAPA Dualfold door is an internally beaded 75mm system which has been designed to offer good looks without compromising on security. The door has three threshold options, including a Part M compliant low threshold. It comes with an endless choice of colour combinations, including dual colour options. Capable of achieving spans of up to six metres, the door is available 36 different opening configurations to suit customer’s individual requirements. Customade offers its bi-fold doors with Soft Coat Low E glass to provide the highest levels of performance without the tint sometimes seen with other low-e glass. The units are Argon filled as standard to achieve a U-value of 1.2 W/m2K. Customade, which has 30 years experience in aluminium, currently fabricates around 350 aluminium windows and doors a week. The SAPA bi-fold door complements the existing domestic and commercial products already available from Customade, which include the Smart Visofold door. Visofold is an internally beaded 70mm system, which comes with a high performance weather rating and security locking on the main doors and intermediate stiles. All bi-fold doors are included on Customade’s bespoke Custodian software package, which enables users to easily survey and price a door. Custodian is supported by a simple price list, which allows customers to price doors in a wide variety of sizes, styles and colours. A selection of RAL colours and finishes can also be easily priced. Please contact Customade on 01453 826884 for a free demo version of the software or to obtain a copy of the easy to use price list. car jersey loan new refinanceno credit check payday loans direct lenders

Top FENSA Prize Goes To Clevedon Window Centre

A regional window installer has scooped a coveted prize in recognition of the quality of its workmanship and service. Clevedon Window Centre, which is a customer of Gloucestershire-based trade fabricator Customade, has won the “FENSA Installation of the Year 2008” award. Created by FENSA - the national self certification scheme for replacement windows - the award attracted many high calibre entries from window installers. The judges sifted through an impressive array of entries, looking in particular for adherence to building regulations and thermal performance standards, plus the quality of the installation and customer satisfaction. Clevedon Window Centre of Yatton, near Bristol, won the prestigious prize for a window, door and porch installation it carried out at a period cottage in Shipham, near Cheddar in Somerset. The project utilised a range of Duraflex frames in Golden Oak, which were fabricated by Customade. The property’s owners, Mr and Mrs Bennett, nominated Clevedon for the award. Steve Anderson, director at Clevedon Window Centre, said: ‘We are absolutely delighted that our installation has been recognised and celebrated by the people whose opinion matters most to us - FENSA and homeowners. Most of our work comes from personal recommendations and winning this award shows our customers that we really can deliver the things that they have asked for. I can’t wait to share this award with everyone in the office!” John Adams, sales director at Customade, added: “We are very pleased that one of our customers has won such an accolade. Clevedon has been a customer of ours for many years and they have built up a superb reputation for quality and service. This deserved award recognises this and will surely be a great asset for their business.” Now in its 13th year of trading, Clevedon Window Centre is the premier supplier of windows, doors, garage doors, conservatories and sun awnings in Somerset. The company employs nearly 10 staff and has built up a strong reputation in the local area for good quality workmanship and service. car jersey loan new refinanceno credit check payday loans direct lenders

Gloucestershire-based trade fabricator Customade has extended its exciting suite of foiled woodgrain finishes. Combining the advantages of PVC-u with an appealing timber appearance, the range has been developed in response to demand from the marketplace for a wider product choice without compromising on style or performance. The first collection features traditional mahogany, rosewood and oak, whilst the second includes white, cream and black in a variety of options. A stunning selection of finishes in red, blue, green and grey, plus four brand new prestige Duraflex foils in Teak, Irish Oak, Rustic Cherry and Soft Cherry complete the third collection. Early indications are very positive from our customers and we’re confident that the range will be extremely popular.” Customade is offering the new woodgrain finishes across the entire Duraflex 65mm Diamond featured suite, which also includes an attractive Georgian bar window.

Gloucestershire-based trade fabricator Customade is celebrating three successful years of trading since the current management team took the business over. The Duraflex fabricator, which has grown from a £6 million to a £9.5 million business, has also launched a raft of exciting products and has more in the pipeline. John Adams, Customade’s sales director, says: “It’s been a really successful period for the business, which is now in its 30th year. We are performing well despite some tough industry challenges and the current economic climate. We’ve gone from fabricating 350 PVCu frames a week to just under 1,000 frames a week and have seen strong growth in demand for aluminium. We’re also proud to have built on Customade’s reputation for a very high quality product, backed by great service and superb technical support.” Customade, which offers one of the widest product ranges available on the market, has recently launched a suite of energy rated frames and a collection of foils in cream, black and white, which have been very popular with customers. PVC bi-fold doors will be introduced soon to complement the existing range in aluminium. The company also supplies Ultraframe conservatory roof systems and manufactures a comprehensive range of aluminium windows, doors, curtain walling and shop fronts. The last three years has seen Customade invest around £400,000 in state-of-the-art machinery and IT systems. The aim of the investment is to support Customade’s network of customers in the current downturn by further improving quality and increasing the speed of turnarounds. The company has also developed its bespoke Custodian window surveying and pricing software package, which is supported by a full training programme for customers on how to make the best use of it. John adds: “Strategic investment and a 100 per cent commitment to high standards has enabled the business to grow and placed us in a much more secure position to steer through the current downturn. We know that our customers expect high quality, easy to fit products, reliable service and realistic prices. Our hard work and dedication over the last three years has enabled us to deliver on those expectations and help to give our customers the edge in a very difficult marketplace.” car jersey loan new refinanceno credit check payday loans direct lenders
